Our office is located in Siemens Hall room 217A.

We are available in person:

Mondays 1:00 pm-4:30 pm

Tuesdays 8:30 am-2:00 pm

Wednesdays 8:30 am-11:00 am

Thursdays 8:30 am-2:00 pm

Fridays 8:30 am-1:00 pm

-Via email  hsugrad@humboldt.edu.  In your email, please include your name, the best number and time to reach you, and your Humboldt ID number if applicable. Please include a description of the service you need or your question. Your message will be reviewed and forwarded to the appropriate staff member for a reply. We will respond to messages as soon as possible. Messages are reviewed during our normal business hours.

-Call (707) 826-5194 you can leave the Graduate Studies team a message if we do not answer. Please include your first and last name, the best number and time to reach you, and your Humboldt ID number if applicable. Leaving a message will notify our staff, who will return your call within the hour (or at a time you’ve specified).


-Via Zoom video conferencing. Please email us to schedule a Zoom, we are available to schedule Zoom appointments during operating hours.

CSU-wide Grad Slam Competition

We're excited to announce our winners of the 2024 Cal Poly Humbodlt Grad Slam! Congratulations to all! Their powerful and innovative presentations connected with the judges and viewers. The two top presentations will move on to compete in the CSU-wide Grad Slam Competition. California State University, Long Beach will be hosting the Fourth Annual CSU Grad Slam on May 3, 2024 via Zoom from 10:00am to 2:30pm. If you are interested in watching the CSU-wide Competition All audience members/guests must register for the competition via this link by 9:30am on Friday, May 3, 2024.

Spring 2024 Thesis Submission

Please keep in mind the Courtesy Format Review deadline April 22nd, 2024, and the Final Submission deadline May 6th, 2024. Make sure that you have applied to Advancement to Candidacy and Graduation. You are required to attend a training session or take the online thesis training course through Canvas to save hours of correcting format errors.

Fall 2024 Graduate Student Orientation

Each fall new graduate students are invited to an orientation prior to the beginning of the new academic year. Additionally, your individual graduate program will be sending out important information regarding their individual orientation, continue to check your Humboldt email for updates on orientation.

Fulbright Scholarship

The Fulbright U.S. Student Program provides grants for individually designed study/research projects or for English Teaching Assistant Programs.  A candidate will submit a Statement of Grant Purpose defining activities to take place during one academic year in a participating country outside the U.S.
